Huge congratulations to our Sligo Award Winners! Sligo Parents voted for their favourite child friendly organisations in Sligo in 5 categories and the Sligo winners are:

• Best Family Activity Markree Riding Stables Collooney  
• Best Family Outing Eagles Flying, Ballymote
• Best Party Venue Happy Days Cleveragh Rd

We were bowled over by the number of nominations and the fantastic feedback on parents’ favourite places.  It’s great to let parents vote for their favourites in their area and to hear why they love these places. It’s also an opportunity for organisations and venues to get positive feedback from families as well as recognition of how well they cater for children!” Some comments on the winning businesses were:

Dynamo “Great child centred environment with friendly, highly qualified instructors, Excellent staff, professional camp, great fun. A marvelous learning experience.

Markree Riding Stables “A very well run organisation in a beautiful setting. Caroline and Rocky are always coming up with fun and exciting new ways to entertain the kids so much so that I’ve been tempted to go myself!! Not only do the kids have an absolute ball, they're also enjoying physical exercise, learning responsibility and gaining respect for animals all while soaking up some much needed fresh air!!”

Henry’s “kids are always welcome, the menu is good, they also do half portions of anything and will basically cook anything your kids want, the kids always get lolly pops crayons and colouring pictures they also run a colouring competition in which the prize is a smiths toyshop voucher kids love the place and never feel like they have to shut up.
Eagles Flying “A fantastic place to go for all ages. Loads of animals to see and pet. We learnt all about birds of prey and the free flying display is amazing.”
Happy Days “Spacious, clean and good selection of playing/climbing frames. great value and great atmosphere, good facilities!”
