On Saturday 28th March at 1 p.m. at the Athenry Heritage Centre we celebrated the launch of our Family Activity Trails, joined by 10 families for lots of fun and goodies.

Mykidstime.ie and Galway East Tourism have teamed up to create 5 different Family Activity Trails round the east part of the County, especially designed for families. You can log onto www.galwayeast.com and download each family trail to bring with you.

The routes aim to help keep your kids happy, entertained and busy whatever the weather or the time of year.

The Family Activity Trails feature:

* Mapped, easy to follow routes linking all the activities in an area
* family friendly places to eat
* playgrounds
* things to do on a rainy day
* shopping
* baby changing facilities
* child-oriented adventure centres and visitor attractions.

Places that are Free to visit are individually marked, and there is also a directory with the contact details of each of the places featured in the tour.

The routes are free to download and can easily be printed off to take with you on your day out.
